There are various types of cage-style pallets that you can use for transporting and storing goods for your company. Many people find that wire mesh cages can work better than simply using regular pallets alone, but this does not mean that a wire mesh cage is your best option. Instead, though, you should know that pallet steel cages can sometimes be a superior option. These are some of the reasons why a pallet steel cage can be a better option than a wire mesh cage.

They Stack Better

For one thing, because wire mesh cages aren't designed for stacking, you are limited when it comes to the number of wire mesh cages that you can fit inside a truck or in a warehouse. This can mean that you will have to send out more truck loads or that you will have to have more warehouse space. Pallet steel cages, on the other hand, are designed to be stacked. They can be a great idea if you'd like to be able to ship out as many products as possible at one time, if you'd like to be able to save on shipping costs, and if you're hoping to maximize your warehouse space.

They Can't Be Cut Through Easily

One thing that you might be really worried about when transporting and storing your products is keeping them secure from theft. This can be a major concern with valuable products or commonly stolen products. If you have wire mesh cages, then you have to worry about someone potentially cutting through the wire mesh, which can easily be done with wire cutters or other simple hand tools. Pallet steel cages are much more secure since they cannot be easily cut through. Just make sure that you have a proper lock on each of your pallet steel cages if you want to keep the products inside as safe and secure as possible.

They Provide Better Protection

Not only are pallet steel cages better at protecting the items inside from theft, but they are also better at protecting the items inside from being crushed or otherwise damaged. Therefore, if you're transporting fragile items or just want to make sure that the items that you're transporting or storing are kept in the best condition possible, you will probably find that pallet steel cages are going to do a better job of protecting your items than wire mesh cages.
